The Sentinels, guarding over their worlds, galaxies, even dimensions, see all.

Each one carries the essence of what they protect, captured within the spheres that make up their visage.

 

Bellatrix is a blue beauty.

But look closer and you'll also see her battle scars ( tiny pits form as the silver is burned onto the bead ).

Swirls of changing colors wrap around her, most tranquil blues and aqua. But when she senses danger, red appears as she prepares for battle.

Such as now, you can see red forming throughout the blue tones and shiny pure silver.

The Sentinel's body is made from blue glass splashed with a bit of pure silver and layered with reactive glass.

I placed this Sentinel onto one of my handmade *Argentium headpins with Argentium silver beads and Swarovski crystals.

The Swarovski collar is rhodium plated to help retain it's shine while the bail is sterling silver.

As you can see from the photo, this pendant measures aprox 3 and 1/2 inches including the bail.

Kiln annealed.

I use fine glass imported from Italy and Germany as well as special glass made right here in the USA.My works are all one-of-a-kind creations.

*Argentium Sterling Silver is a sterling silver alloy which replaces some of the copper with a metalloid called germanium. Germanium gives the silver a high tarnish resistance. It's a bit more expensive but I feel it's worth it and try to use as much as possible in my work.
